If the circuit board wants to realize the function operation, it is impossible to complete the bare PCB board alone. The bare board needs to be mounted, plug-in and soldered. This step-by-step process is called PCBA.
In terms of technology, the PCBA process can be roughly divided into four main links, namely: SMT patch processing → DIP plug-in processing → PCBA testing → finished product assembly.
Four major links of PCBA processing technology
1. SMT patch processing link
The SMT patch processing link generally matches the purchase of components according to the BOM configuration list provided by the customer, and confirms the PMC plan of the production. After the preparatory work is completed, SMT programming is started, laser stencil is made according to the SMT process, and solder paste printing is performed.
Through the SMT placement machine, the components are mounted on the circuit board, and if necessary, online AOI automatic optical inspection is performed. After testing, set a perfect reflow oven temperature curve to let the circuit board flow through the reflow soldering.
After the necessary IPQC inspection, the DIP plug-in process can be used to pass the plug-in material through the circuit board, and then flow through wave soldering for soldering. Next is the necessary post-furnace process.
After the above procedures are completed, a comprehensive QA inspection is required to ensure that the product quality is passed.
2. DIP plug-in processing link
The process of DIP plug-in processing is: plug-in→wave soldering→cutting feet→post-welding processing→washing board→quality inspection
Three, PCBA test
PCBA testing is the most critical quality control link in the entire PCBA processing process. PCBA testing standards need to be strictly followed. PCBA testing also includes 5 main forms: ICT testing, FCT testing, Aging test, fatigue test, test under harsh environment.
Fourth, finished product assembly
The PCBA board with the test OK is assembled for the shell, and then tested, and finally it can be shipped.
PCBA production is one link after another. Any problem in any link will have a very large impact on the overall quality, and strict control of each process is required.
The above is about the four main links of PCBA process production. Each major link is assisted by countless small links. Each small link will have one or some test procedures to ensure product quality and avoid outflow of unqualified products.
